Epoxy Works
When I began experimenting with epoxy resin in the early 2000’s,
epoxy was mainly used with glass fiber, casting commercial products and for different types of repairs etc. Through years of experimenting I have found this material highly versatile, and this unique creativity is reflected in my works.
I began experimenting with epoxy resin in the early 2000’s, epoxy was mainly used with
glass fiber, casting commercial products and for different types of repairs etc. Through years
of experimenting I have found this material highly versatile. I searched for a way to combine
digitally created works with something tangible and at the same time transfer the classic
traditional knowledge to these “modern” materials (Epoxy) and expressions.
My epoxy works are a combination of digital works printed on (often) large scale transparent
film merged with epoxy resin. The works are built up in layers giving each picture an almost
3D depth.
In collaboration with the author Hans Herbjørnsrud, I made a series of epoxy works based
on his authorship.
Hans said this about me:
“I CHOSE LEO TO ILLUSTRATE MY SHORT STORIES BECAUSE HE IS THE BEST OF
ALL TO EXPRESS THE HALLUCINATED REALISM I WRITE.”
